Jelly is my dog, but really she is my best friend. She's a small-and-mighty, cloud-like ball of joy who doesn't so much walk as trot. Some of her alter egos include: snowy fox who's never actually seen snow, mostly-indoor, quasi-domesticated squirrel, and angel-encased-in-shining-white-aura. Jelly is a Chihuahua who was born in Mexico and (I think) mixed with Papillon (she's all ears) who came into my life when she was a wee 8 weeks old. She is my first dog and in spending mostly all hours of every day together, we've developed our own language that's a funny hybrid of English and other sounds. Some people say our language is akin to the dialect of Leeloo from The Fifth Element. Whatever it is, our beyond-the-limits-of-human-or-dog-speak testifies to our bond, which is a quirky symphony of cooperative sounds and endeared looks and true-true love.
